February is a busy month with 4 family members birthdays. Vanessa Ryan's godmother and aunt's is a day before his. Ryan's is the 3rd. Grandpa Jay and Uncle Cal and godfather is on the 20th. We celebrated Ryan's 5th birthday party at Godfather's pizza. We had the pizza buffet and cake from Walmart. Everyone had a great time. The kids enjoyed playing the arcades and Hope enjoyed trying to win items with the claw. She won small balls for all of her cousins. Tyler loved chasing Ally around. Dimitri was showing off his new walking skills. he will soon be able to keep up with the other kids.
Ryan had a doctor's appointment due to him vomiting at night. He would only do this then. He got an xray of his abdomen and it was to be known that he was backed up with poop. At that same time we were told that there was a foreign object in his right lower abdomen. I was stunned and wondered what it could be. We then had a follow up appointment within the next 4 days. He was no longer puking but he was starting to REALLY poop alot(which is a good thing). They took another xray then and the screw was still there. Ryan then went and saw her again in a week to see if the screw had moved or not. When they did the xray,it was still in the same spot. She didn't want to see him for 3 weeks, cause too many xrays and radiation can have an affect on him. I am hoping and praying that he poops it out before the next visit. If it has not moved by they next time she sees him, they will have to schedule an appointment with a GI Specialist and have a tube go in and retrieve the object.
On February 20th we celebrated Grandpa Jay's birthday at the waterpark inside of Holiday Inn. Tyler enjoyed himself and loved the water. Ryan had a blast himself. The water was a little cold, but once you got used to it,it was fine. We had pizza and birthday cake. We got to play arcade games.

January New Year and a New Career for me
The New Year came into the Hedberg home. I was still looking for some kind of employment. I was applying everywhere and was getting no where. Earlier in the month my husband suggested selling Avon and I just didn't think that would be for me. A couple weeks later I was looking on a website for jobs and I saw an ad for Avon representatives in my area. I decided to take the leap. I spoke with my sister in law to see what she thought about it. She thought it would be a great opportunity for me. I filled out the online application and within an hour I got a phone call. I spoke with the lady and I was a little hesitant at first but then I said "what the heck". I have been selling Avon for 3 months now. I know that I won't become a millionare over night but some kind of income is better than nothing.
January was the month that we got to sit down with the school teachers. Ryan is going to be starting Kindergarten Fall of 2011. We had a meeting with the Special Education Teachers at Talahi Elementary School. We talked about what his goals were going to be once he started school there and also if we wanted him to go half day or full day. I think full day would be best for him. He LOVES going to school. The current teacher is going to miss having Ryan in her class. He is just a lovable boy that everyone loves. We have to go to open house for Kindergarten in May to officially sign him up. I can't believe that he is going to kindergarten already.
Ryan got botox shots again for the 3rd time. Ryan has been very healthy and a happy boy.
Tyler is being a very difficult 2 year old. I know he will outgrow this(hopefully),but he doesn't listen to us. He thinks that he can do whatever he wants without any consequences. I really can't wait for him to outgrow it. O love my youngest but sometimes I want to just pull my hair out.

I am WAYYYYY Behind
Well where shall I begin. It has been a long time since I last blogged. I guess you can say that my life is not boring.
July 2010:
Ryan had summer school for 3 weeks. He LOVES going to school. He also had therapy. He is a busy little boy. Ryan got botox shots in his legs and left thumb. It helps so the therapists can stretch his muscles.
We were planning a surprise birthday party for my mom. Her sister and husband were coming up and my mom had no clue about what was happening. Unfortunately that couldn't happen. My uncle got some news that his brother passed away. We hope to get together again soon.
I had some sad news happen to me as well. As you all know I have worked at Arby's for 16 years. I got some news on July 13th that they were letting me go. I was told that I was late 2 days, was caught by a supervisor on my cell phone when I was up front(which is not true, but he can never be wrong). I applied for unemployment and I had to fight for it cause Arby's was saying that I was fired for misconduct and not following safety rules.
August 2010:
A pretty boring month. We celebrated Ally's 5th birthday. She has grown into her own person(look out world). We also had a family trip to Rosenthal's. We celebrated my husbands birthday while we were there. It was a good time. We ate at the restaurant on the site and the food was good.
September 2010:
Ryan started pre-school this month. We celebrated our wedding anniversary. We have been married for 4 years. It seems longer than that.
October 2010:
Ryan went on his first field trip. We went to a orchard farm. Ryan got to pick some raspberries and eat them. He liked them. He also got to pick his own apple. He enjoyed the beautiful day outside with his classmates and mommy enjoyed the trip as well. We celebrated Grandma Terri's birthday. She got a kindle from her kids. She really enjoys it.And of course we went to the annual Halloween parade in Anoka. Ryan got a good stash of candy and so did Tyler.
November 2010:
Ryan got tubes put in both his ears. He was having trouble with fluid building up,so they decided to make everything better that he needed the tubes. He has only gotten one ear infection since he got them. He hears much better and his speech is more clearer. We had our first Parent/Teacher Conferences. The teacher said that Ryan is a great kid. He loves working with the other kids and singing songs. We celebrated my sister-in-laws 40th birthday at Billy's bar in Anoka. It was a great time the kids had fun.
December 2010:
Dimitri turned 1 years old. He is such a cutie. I don't think I have ever seen that kid without a smile on his face. He is always happy. We had a passing in the family. Scott Rolland my father-in-laws brother died suddenly. He was plowing the snow in his drive way and had a heart attack. I only knew Scott for 4 years, but he was a great guy. Ryan really loved him. Whenever we would go to Scott's house, Scott would make Ryan laugh, which is not a hard thing.
We had a very eventful last half of 2010. Let's see what 2011 will bring us.

Well the last time that we spoke was a few months back. I am just so busy with Ryan's schedule I don't know how we do it. Last time I was here we spoke about what has happened since February to April,so I guess I will start with May and June.
In May we celebrated April's First Holy Communion and her Birthday. The boys were good for that. It is hard for them to sit too long and be quiet, but I was proud of them. Nothing much really happened in May, it was one of our relaxing months.
Then comes June. Beginning of June was Ryan's last day of school. Then the 3rd week Ryan started summer school. He goes to school 3 days a week. He still has teacher Vicki(whom he loves) and the bus comes and picks him up and drops him off at home.
Ryan had his yearly Ct Scan and xray of his shunt. They checked to make sure that everything is working properly and that the shunt hasn't moved. Well that day we had good news to report. (I myself was a little scared because of all the puking he recently had). The doctor said that everything was looking good and that nothing had changed in the brain. he has enough shunt tubing in his belly still. Once he really grows up they will keep an eye on this cause he will need to get longer tubing. But he has a long ways to go for this. I was just glad to hear that he was good in that department. She noticed in his xray that he had fluid in his left ear and the chest looked a little congested. She told me to get him looked at. Well 2 days later we went to the walk in clinic and he had a small amount of pneumonia in his lungs. I hate hearing that. He was given a strong antibiotic to clear that up and get rid of the fluid in the ear.
Ryan then saw the physiatrist specialist. He gets to have botox injections on his left thumb, left forearm and left upper arm. His thumb still likes to stay tucked under and they say he needs to get this looking normal or we will have big problems down the road. Ryan wears a hard hand splint on his left hand when he goes to bed and he wears a soft one during the day.
We went to a St.Cloud Riverbats game this month also. I won 2 tickets from work and since the boys are 4 and under they were free. It was the first baseball game for the boys. They had a great time. Tyler was getting friendly with some people that were sitting up by us. The guy from the group has some pull with the team and he got both of the boys their very own baseball. That was very nice of the guy. We even got a picture of the boys with the teams mascot.
Now we entering into July and the summer is almost half over. We have 56 days til we leave for vacation at Rosenthals in Wisconsin. I can't wait cause I could really use a vacation and the boys will have fun as well.

Busy Month
WOW!!!! Where has this month gone. It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating Ryan's birthday and the next thing you know my little boy turned 2 and within the next few days we will be celebrating Easter with the family. Here is a recap of our busy month.
Ryan had his final NICU follow up with all of the doctors, therapist and nutritionist. They were so impressed on how well he is doing and everything that he has accomplished. Of course Ryan has a long ways to go, but he is doing so well right now.
Grandma Terri had a bowling tournament here in St.Cloud. So the boys and I decided we would come and cheer her on. Whenever Grandma knocked down some pins Tyler kept saying 4. Ryan was having fun blowing raspberries at all of the ladies and he was also get passed around being held. I was surprised that they could hold him he is a BIG boy. Tyler had a good time flirting with all of the women. I had to keep chasing him, but of course everyone kept saying that he was so cute. The boys enjoyed seeing Grandma and her friends.
Dimitri our nephew got baptized. He was fine the whole time til he got water on him then he started fussing. Usually the boys are good when they are around alot of people, but Tyler started acting up and then of course Ryan had to join in. It was fun to see family that we haven't seen for awhile. Tyler had fun afterwards he was chasing his cousin April around.
This month we had 3 birthdays to celebrate. Hope and Joe's was on the 12th, mine was on the 13th and little man Tyler was on the 26th.
This month was also a very intriguing month. My father who I haven't really had anything to do with since my parents got divorced, he emailed me kind of a confession email. He was so sorry for doing the things he did and he would like to visit us. He actually bought the boys birthday gifts and he brought something for me from my Uncle Clyde. My Uncle was in Germany and had a plate made with a picture of me when I was 2 years old on it. I really would like him to be in my boys' life. Ryan was ok with him he was playing. Tyler surprisingly was not shy around him, he was showing off his toys and his new hat. I hope that he can continue to be this nice person and actually have a relationship with our family.
That's about it for our bus month. Hope everyone has a great spring and enjoys some of this wonderful weather.

Ryan's Bday
It is hard to believe but my big guy is 4 years old. It just seems like yesterday we were all surprised to have him born. Now he is a very good boy. He still has his health problems but he is making people that work with him very proud of his accomplishments. He used not speak that much at all, now he talks alot and sometimes it is hard to understand what he is trying to say. On his birthday we found out that his teacher's birthday was the same day. He got to wear a birthday crown and the kids sang happy birthday to him. On that same day we had a meeting with his school teacher and all the people that work with him at school. They are very impressed on how well he is doing. There are some things that they would like him to accomplish and they will work with him on it. After the meeting we went to Grandma Sherri's house and had pie. He did a great job eating it all by himself. I think more got on his face versus his mouth.
Today(Feb. 6th) we are going to Perkins for dinner with a coworker of mine and some other friends. Because it is his birthday he gets a free kids meal that he will share with his brother. In a week we will be celebrating his birthday with the rest of the family.

First month of the New Year
Nothing much exciting has happened so far, even though we are only 9 days into the month. When we moved we had to change counties and I was really not happy to leave Sherburne county. Well my gut feeling is coming true. We are on what is called a CSG Grant, basically what it is we get paid for certain things that go above and beyond the call of duty of what a child his age should be doing on their own. Ryan needs a PCA reassessment that determines how much we get, she calls me and lets me know that Ryan's MA has been terminated. As soon as I hear that I call my financial worker to find out what is going on with Ryan's MA(which is his health insurance). She tells me that it isn't terminated, that it goes to the end of February.
We then go to our WIC appointment and the appointment is to be recertification for Ryan. Instead they recertify Tyler and when we speak with the nutritionist she says that Tyler's WIC has been terminated. I am thinking what the %$@#&^. She then say wait he is good til April and that Ryan was supposed to be recertified, but she doesn't understand why he wasn't. After that headache everything was straightened out.
I don't ever want to have to switch counties again. They just get everything so confused.
Ryan has an eye appointment on the 1th and we also meet his new social worker.
Then yesterday Ryan's school teacher emails me saying that it is time that we start thinking about summer school for Ryan. WHAT!!!! it is still wintertime. I guess they just want to be ready for the summer season.
I hope everyone had a happy new year and it continues to be a good one.

The Past 3 months
We have been so busy as a family the past few months, I haven't had time to write in my blog. I have finally found a few minutes out of my day to update everyone on our life.
September
Ryan started a new school year. He was so excited to get back to school and riding the big bus. He has grown so much in his vocabulary from school, I am so proud of him.
Eric's step-brother got married. Unfortunately we couldn't go due to a car accident that Eric was in. Driving our van that long of a distance would not be safe.
We celebrated our 3 year anniversary. Couldn't believe that we have been married that long, time goes by so fast when you are truly happy with someone.
October
This was a busy month for us. We had to find a new home, our old place was in foreclosure and it was not an easy task to try and find a place. We did find a nice place to live and the boys each have their own bedroom. Eric's family came out and helped us move. That was a big task moving. This month is the Annual Halloween parade in Anoka. We decided that we would just go to G&G Rolland's house and spend some time with them. Later that night Grandpa hooked up a trailer to the car and hauled all of us around their area and the kids got to go trick or treating. Each of the boys got a good stash and had lots of fun.
November
Nothing much happened this month. We just enjoyed spending time with the boys. We had thanksgiving dinner at G&G Rolland's. Both boys enjoyed themselves. They always have fun at G&G's.
December
This month we got a new addition to the family. My sister-in-law gave birth to a little boy on December 3rd. They named him Dimitri Ivan Musatov. He is such a cutie. I haven't held a baby that small for a long time. He seemed smaller than Tyler, but I guess no one can beat how small Ryan was. We had a festive xmas meal. We decided to not go th traditional way and have something different for the meal. We had a mexican theme with all the fixings. We had Enchiladas, a taco bar and I made 2 different delicious taco dips. We opened gifts and all of the kids got good things this year. Tyler got a bouncy turtle from his godparents and he fell in love with it. He bounces on it whenever he gets a chance. Ryan got legos and his handy manny comforter. He LOVES Handy Manny.
Well it seems like before we know the new year will be upon us. 2009 went by really fast. Hope 2010 is as eventful as 2009 was. Happy New Year to all. See you next year.

Ryan's 1st Day of School
Today was Ryan's 1st day of school. He was been waiting along time. He was excited to get up this morning and get ready for school. We got his back pack ready with the goodies he has to take. He goes to school 3 days a week now from 1-330. He is pretty beat when he gets home. Almost everyday his teacher writes in a notebook and lets us know how Ryan's day was and if there was anything interesting that he did. When we were waiting for the bus this afternoon Ryan kept saying bus, bus. I don't know if he was excited for school or not. He smiled pretty for me to take a couple pictures of him in his chair.
Today his therapist saw him and this is what she said about Ryan:
My name is Mary Jo Frensko and I am the physical therapist at Roosevelt. I had the opportunity to meet Ryan this afternoon. He is a very wonderful little boy and it was fun visiting with him! Staff and I went over some basics today, such as positioning him in his wheelchair with his seat positioned back for good alignment. When he is positioned way back in the chair his trunk looks so nice and he sits nice and tall. The lap belt was snugged comfortably to help keep his seat back. This then prompted me to readjust the head support. I raised it up and pushed it forward slightly. Anyway, I hope these changes are okay with you. We can always make adjustments as needed. One thing that needs to be adjusted is his foot support. It needs to be lowered about 1 inch. I don't usually do this adjustment, rather the wheelchair vendor does this. I could try, however it may not be soon.
This is what his teacher had to say about Ryan:
Ryan had a great first day back. He was very happy and talkative! He has such an awesome personality!
I feel like Ryan has such an awesome attitude is cause all that he has gone thru from birth to now. But also he has LOTS of people that love him. He makes sure that everyone falls in love with him and find a special place in their hearts for him.

Rosenthal's Family Vacation
We went on a family vacation for 4 days at Rosenthal's Resort in Danbury, WI. We went with G&G Rolland, AAA, M,D,H,A and V&J. It was beautiful weekend, the weather was great and everyone had a great time. The boys had a good time. Tyler got to run around outside without having to worry about traffic. Cousin Hope helped watch him which was fine with me. I need a break from the boys every now and then. One day we went for a ride on the boat, which was the first boat ride for both of the boys. Ryan enjoyed it except when the sun was in his eyes. We stopped at a sandbar and everyone sat there and talked. Grandpa grabbed Tyler and he put his feet in the lake water. We spent a lot of time at the pool swimming and Tyler loved it he kept splashing and he thought that he was able to swim on his own. I guess I will have to look into swimming lessons for him. We walked down to the docks and watched the girls fish from the dock. Tyler got to touch his first fish and it was real cool to see him actual touch it without screaming. We celebrated Eric's birthday there and had some good cake that grandma made. It was alot of fun everyone enjoyed themselves.

Ryan and Tyler's new beds
Eric was on craigslist one day and saw that someone was selling bunk beds with mattresses for $50. He went and picked them up in Plymouth and repainted the bed frames. Beds were in good condition. We went out and bought the boys their first bedding, besides the crib sheets. Ryan got Handy Manny sheets and Tyler got Mickey Mouse.Ryan has been sleeping in his bed for almost a week now and he loves it. He actually doesn't fall out like he did in his toddler bed. I am so glad that the boys have big boy beds. They are growing up so fast. We were going to put them up as bunk beds but we have decided to wait til Tyler is a little bit older to do this. For now we will have the beds separate, don't want Tyler to try and get out of bed and fall and hurt himself.

Big Brother/Little Brother
The boys have been playing with each other more and more everyday. Tyler helps us with Ryan, if we need to give Ryan something Tyler will give it to him. At night when we are putting the boys to bed, Tyler makes sure that Ryan is in bed and gives him a goodnight kiss. After we shut the door, Tyler plays with Ryan for awhile and sometimes he falls asleep in bed with him. One night I went in to check on them cause I heard Ryan fussing, I looked an Tyler is asleep in bed next to Ryan. It was so cute that we just had to take a picture. Tyler does his babbling talk and when he does this he is looking at ryan. After he is done talking I ask Ryan what he said and Ryan just looks at us and laughs. So I take it that it is something that we as parents are not supposed to know.

Splash Pad/Parade/ Taste of St.Cloud

Yesterday we took the boys to the splash pad. Both Ryan and Tyler enjoyed themselves. Eric took Tyler thru the water at first then Tyler went on his own. I pushed Ryan thru in his chair and just loved it, he kept asking for more. Afterwards we came home and we sat in our pool for awhile. We had a fun time as a family.
We went to the Granite City Days parade. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours and then we left because it started down pouring and the boys were shivering. During the parade they were throwing candy and we got a good handful for the boys. Mommy and daddy will probably get the most of it. I then got a shirt thrown at me, it is a pepsi shirt which would be nice but it is size large and I would only be able to fit it around my neck because of my big jugs.
Yesterday we went to Taste of St.Cloud. It was ok except on the flyer it said free food and other free things. We get there and the food costs. So we just walked around and looked at a few things. There was wave runners on the lake and a petting zoo. We were going to get a picture of Tyler petting the animals but of course our camera decided to act up. I hope everyone else had a great weekend.

Grad Party Weekend/Father's Day Weekend
This past weekend we went to Chelsey's grad party. The boys had a great time. Before the grad party we went to the park across the street and put the boys in swings. Ryan has always loved the swing, it was time to see what Tyler would think of it. He loved he, he kept smilin and didn't want to get out when it was time to go.
The boys had fun seeing some family and eating lots of food. Tyler was showing everyone how much of a big boy he is by eating. Tyler was sporting a new do. Daddy put it in a mohawk and he looked so cute. Usually Tyler doesnt go up to people that he doesnt know. There was kareoke at the party and Tyler walked his way up to it. Deb's mother picked him up and he was helping them sing. I don't know if he was trying to tell them something, but he did really good. When Auntie Vanessa went to get him to say good-bye he didn't want to go.
After the party we went to G&G Rollands house and Tyler found Pierce. He chased Pierce around the house with Vanessa's hair dryer. Poor Pierce was wondering what was this lttle boy doing to him. Tyler also went down the slide in the swingset in the backyard. He wasn't so sure about it at first til I showed what to do.
On Sunday we went to G&G Hedberg's house. We had some cheeseburgers and hotdogs on the grill. We had some funtime with family. I thought it was so cute when Ally wanted to go play with toys downstairs and Tyler went with. Ally grabbed his hand and held it while they walked to the stairs. We had a good time just gabbing and watching the kids play.

My little chef's
Tyler found the cupboard that holds my pans. He got them out and was using a spoon. He looked like he was stirring some food. He has helped me stir noodles and eggs. Whenever I am cooking in the kitchen he wants to be right there and see what I am doing.
Ryan had a little bowl with a spoon and he was stirring food also. When they get old enough they can make me my meal and I can rest on the couch.
Ryan and Tyler doing art work
Yesterday Ryan got some sidewalk chalk from the school and Tyler wanted to go outside. We went outside and wrote on the sidewalk. We have a broken tv tray and we used that for Ryan to do some of his handywork. Tyler enjoyed himself also. He wanted to stay outside but we had to bring them in for nap time.

Tyler's 1st haircut
This weekend we took Tyler to Fantastic Sam's and got his haircut. He did a great job sitting in the chair like a big boy. He didn't cry or anything. He looked so cute sitting there while the girl was cutting his hair. I told them I want him to have a boys haircut and to get rid of his wings. After his haircut was done he got a sucker. They taped some of his hair on a card and it says when and where he got his 1st haircut.

Ryan and Tyler's trip to the zoo
Yesterday we decided to take the boys to the Minnesota Zoo. We had 2 free passes that we got and it helped us with the cost for getting in. It was a nice drive there since Tyler slept the whole way down there. Ryan was asleep and watching the scenery. When we got there we slapped on some sunscreen on the boys and on daddy's head. Don't want any sunburns. We walked around the whole entire zoo. Ryan was just looking around, everytime we would tell Ryan to look at an animal he would just look at us. So we just decided that he can look for himself. We first looked at discovery bay and watched the dolphin swim around. Tyler kept saying fishy fishy. He really liked it when the dolphin swam right in front of where we were. We went and looked at the rest of the animals, but some of them were taking their naps. We went to the Wells Fargo farm house and Tyler petted a kid(baby goat). At first he wasn't so sure about touching it til mommy petted the little one too. We then went and had lunch, the boys were very hungry. Ryan had a stare down with a kid that was sitting next to him. The kid had down syndrome and they both kept looking at each other, I thought it was cute. We then went thru the Northern trails and saw some interesting animals. They have an aquarium that you can see from underneath and that was cool. Tyler kept saying fishy fishy again. Then we went thru the Medtronic Minnesota Trails. It was cool to see some animals from Minnesota that you don't see all the time. Daddy got a good picture of the bald eagle. He also got video of some coyotes doing some naughty stuff, if you get my hint. We then headed home. It was a long day for the boys, but I was glad that the boys got to see some new stuff. On our way home we stopped at target in plymouth to meet a guy that was giving us a gas grill for free. When we were about to leave, 4 deer jumped in front of his truck. Tyler just looked and wondered what they were.
Next trip we will possibly take is to the como zoo. I would like the boys to see other animals that they didn't see at the Minnesota Zoo.

Tyler's Fun Day with Uncle Calvin and Grandma Sherri

Today Tyler got to spend the day with my brother and mother. We were at grandma's house to pick up Uncle Cal and Tyler was walking while holding my hand, but then he decided that he wanted to hold his hand. I was walking behind them and I thought that it was a kodak moment and grabbed my cell to snap a picture. First we went out for breakfast at a place that we haven't been to since they closed the old one. They were excited to see us and especially Tyler. We then went to the Dollar store and Tyler got Grandma to buy him a teddybear and a pair of sunglasses, he looked like a movie star. We then went to the mall and we went to JCPenney and bought Ryan some clippers so that we can cut his hair. They were having a shoe sale for kids and I asked my mom if she could buy the boys a pair of sandals for the summer. She was happy to do that and now we have shoes that they can wear outside. It was a fun day for my brother and Tyler to do some bonding. Tyler enjoyed his self, and was laughing most of the time. I am glad that they have their Uncle in their life. He enjoys spending time with them. He smiles whenever they comeover to visit.

Summer school for Ryan
Ryan is signed up for summer school. I can't believe that is almost here. He will be going 2 days a week, and only 4 days a month until the first week in August then he is officially on summer vacation til september. Ryan gets really excited when he gets ready for school. He just loves it. Since he has started going to school he is more vocal. I think Ryan's favortie part of school is SNACKTIME. The teacher always says that he keeps wanting more snacks when it is time to clean up.
Tyler is taking more steps on his own. It is so cute you see him crawling then he is walking around. He knows how to go up and down the stairs. Excpet yesterday we had an accident. My mom was coming over and Tyler was excited to see here and he forgot that the stairs were there and fell down a couple of stairs. He is ok, it just scared him alittle.
